Responsible for performing all laboratory procedures and use of computer system for order entry and test reporting. Performs instrument maintenance and quality control in each area. Responsible for inventory control, including check-in and placement and rotation of supplies. Must participate in Continuing Education program, COLA /The Joint Commission policy and procedures. Associate Degree in Laboratory Science or equivalent subject from an accredited college or university. Certification required. Two-year experience in general laboratory desired.

Responsible for making sure the health care facility has all the supplies needed for operations.  Maintains and monitors hospital inventories.  Monitors vendors for quality, services and price through standard purchasing specifications.  Implement sound purchasing policies, systems and procedures in accordance with Company standards. 2-3 years’ experience in a purchasing role required.

Assists in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. Assists physicians with special tests and procedures, such as thoracentesis, lumbar tap, etc. Assists with surgical/endoscopic procedures and provides safe patient care in the surgical setting and endoscopy. Functions as a member for the surgical team, creates and maintains a sterile field; primary responsibility is that of a scrub nurse.

Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of a critical access hospital and clinic operations. Provides leadership and coordination in the accounting, budgeting, and business planning efforts of the organization. 3–5 year experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required, CPA or MBA preferred.

The ER Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse who demonstrates management skills of organizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of the patient in a manner that upholds the goals and objectives of the Nursing Department, to ensure quality nursing care. This position works closely with the medical staff and all other departments in order to provide quality patient care services. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, education, safety, and related criteria for the patient population under their care. Direct development of policies, facilitate performance improvement process, and monitor infection control activities for the department. Watch for trends in risk management, completes reports and projects on time. Actively participates with the MS Trauma Program. Minimum of 2 years of Nursing experience in the Emergency Department setting preferred.

Promotes, coordinates and conducts performance improvement activities within the hospital; assists medical staff departments, services, and committees established within the by-laws of the medical staff, monitors the quality of medical care, identifies quality issues, and pursues opportunities to improve patient care. Consults, develops and implements techniques designed to improve patient care in measures that prevent infection; educates hospital personnel on these techniques; makes nursing decisions relating to medical care and management based on clinical judgment in prevention or dealing with infection in a hospital/community setting. Leads and maintains FHS’s Joint Commission Accreditation. Education/Skill Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field, preferred. Licensed or licensed eligible by the State of Mississippi. Two years’ working experience in an acute hospital is required. CDC Infection Control course or equivalent required; certification in Infection Control preferred. Strong communication skills. Evidence of organizational ability in establishing effective systems is preferred. This position functions independently under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer.

This position provides personal patient care and related services to work both in the ER and Nursing departments. Duties of this job functions under supervision of the Nurse Manager and guidance of a Registered Nurse. This is a temporary position and will be scheduled to work as needed.
