Today MSDH is reporting an additional 1,457 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 3 deaths. Three deaths occurred between January 16 and January 17. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 253,932, with 5,524 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 56 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and 7 deaths. There are currently 209 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.

Today MSDH is reporting an additional 1,606 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 40 deaths. Ten deaths occurred between January 1 and January 16, 2021, and 30 occurred between December 15 and January 12, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 252,475, with 5,521 deaths.
